Partnerships

WMU and C.A.H.E.N.
Western Michigan University’s Lansing Campus is a proud member of the Capital Area Higher Education Network. This organization works to promote adult education within the greater Lansing area and meets regularly to discuss issues pertinent to the higher education community. To qualify for membership, a school must have a physical presence in the Lansing area and be willing to participate in C.A.H.E.N. events and monthly meetings.

C.A.H.E.N. can organize education fairs for businesses and organizations at no charge. These fairs include representatives from each of our member schools who can provide materials and information to prospective students about the academic programs available. If your organization or business is having an event and would like to include an education fair or C.A.H.E.N. booth, you can contact WMU Lansing Campus representative John Olle at 517-483-9728 or by email at john.olle@wmich.edu.

WMU and Thomas M. Cooley Law School
Recognizing the close association between the law and public administration, Western Michigan University and Thomas M. Cooley Law School have formed a partnership to offer the Joint Juris Doctor (J.D.)/Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree.  This program permits students to acquire the knowledge of both disciplines and expedite completion of the requirements for both the MPA degree and the JD degree by allowing participating students to transfer six semester hours of credit from one degree program to the other, resulting in a total course reduction of twelve semester hours when both degrees are completed.
